At 0930 hours the DuBois City Police were dispatched to a business located on W. Long Ave. for the report of a retail theft. Upon the arrival of officers they made contact with the female suspect. While conducting their investigation, officers found multiple items that the suspect had in her possession that were from the business and that the suspect did not purchase while she was inside. Charges of retail theft are pending.
At 1444 hours the DuBois City Police were dispatched to a residence on the 200 block of W. Long Ave. for the report of a disturbance. Upon the arrival of police the found that two sisters were arguing and fighting. Neither of the females wanted to file charges against the other. The females went their separate ways and police were no longer needed.
At 2239 hours the DuBois City Police while on patrol observed a blue Buick Lacrosse driving erratically almost hitting curbs and travelling into the opposite lane of travel on DuBois St. Upon observing this officers pulled the vehicle over and made contact with the male driver. While investigating the incident further police were able to determine that the male was under the influence of alcohol. At that time he was placed under arrest for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and charges are pending.
At 2359 hours the DuBois City Police while on a traffic stop could smell burnt marijuana coming from the inside of the vehicle they had pulled over. While investigating further police found drug paraphernalia and a small amount of marijuana inside the vehicle. The investigation continues into this incident.
